that bothers me is MFN keeps saying that life of mine commercial production is estimated at $ 297/ ounce. That number first was used in a release on Feb 14, 2008 and then again in June and in conversations the figure is still the estimate . They did say that the cost for 2008 production would be about $ 403/ounce because of additional start-up expenses, but then revert to $ 297/ounce for the commercial production.
If that is so, and I truly hope it is, they will be one of the lowest cost producers in the gold mining industry. I'm hopeful but I have my own personal doubts ......because it is a heap leach operation for one and the ore grades and recoveries are not high enough...all IMHO
To sum all this up we need production to start soon.....production costs are going up for every other gold producer and I think they also might be for MFN....
I'm not alone Puplava in the last two weeks dropped $ 1.5 mill on his 750,000 shares....I think he wants production also....
