As of 6-30-2008 we had a 30,000 share increase overall change in the short position for Minefinders.

The short position went up in Canada by 258 Thousand shares and went down by 228 thousand shares in the US or a net increase of about 30,000 shares

I do want to mention that since 6-30-2008 MFN stock price has gone up from $ 10.40US to $ 11.46US , an increase of $ 1.06US or an increase of 10.19%......There is a good possibility that the short position has decreased since the first of July.

IMHO...I look at the high short position for this stock as a positive. These shorts will have to cover soon , especially if leaching on the ore pads starts within the next two weeks.
