Metanor Resources Inc.: Nomination of New Chief Financial Officer

VAL-D'OR, QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - Feb. 6, 2009) - Metanor Resources inc. ("Metanor" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:MTO - News) announces the nomination of Mrs. Claudine Levesque CA, as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") of the Company. Mrs. Levesque is an accounting graduate from the Universite du Quebec (1982) and has been a member of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Quebec since 1985. Mrs. Levesque was an auditor with RCGT from 1985 to 1990 and after continued auditing with other accounting firms, including Allard Levesque C.A. between 2000 and 2005. Since 2006, Mrs. Levesque practices mainly in the mining exploration and development fields utilizing her consulting company, Claudine Levesque C.A. Inc. ("CLCAI").
Metanor is very pleased to welcome Mrs. Levesque to its management team. Claudine Levesque brings a wide range of experience and recognized accounting expertise in the fields of mining exploration and development, which will help Metanor, as a new gold producer, to execute its business plan.
Furthermore, effective February 1st, 2009, the Company entered into a consulting agreement with CLCAI pursuant to which CLCAI has agreed to provide certain accounting, financial and administrative services to the Company. Mrs. Levesque, President and sole shareholder of CLCAI, has been providing accounting, financial administrative and secretarial services to the Company for a number of years.
On February 1st 2009, an employment contract was also signed with Mrs. Claudine Levesque, CA, who has agreed to act as the CFO of the Company.
