I agree. In my view, the US $ cannot go anywhere but down and this will be positive for gold. Once the price of gold begins to climb, there will be a general move toward it, resulting in an upwards acceleration.
I agree with US commentator and investment manager Peter Schiff who sees significant inflationary pressure in the short to mid term. Even CIBC world markets head Jeff Rubin recently said on BNN that he sees a much lower US$ and higher gold prices for most of 2009, particularly once the trillions of dollars the US is throwing at the US economy are "monetized".
I also hope that the Metanor PP is fully subscribed since that will help the financial stability of the company and allow it to move ahead strongly with the aggressive exploration of its promising land holdings.
I still think that Metanor is a real "steal" at the current trading range and have added more shares in the past few days.
