Yes the share price took a beating but this is a major buying opportunity for those in the know at a time where a good dip will occur prior to the upcoming deep drilling scheduled to being this november.
For those more familiar with the Timmins West Camp on a geological level, the latest drill results have further defined the gold bearing strucutual controls present on the property and which directional structures are the ones to follow up on for future drilling. The results also indicated that the mafic volcanics adjacent to the mineralized tonalites can as well contain gold which is a major issue for MKR for reasons which will follow.
Melkior now knows that the main north-south structural trend (being the present target horizon representing the Carleton Lake Pluton - Deloro geological contact) is the prime gold bearing target structure and that the recently drilled east-west cross structures are not. This is very important to understand as there appears to be an offset staircase effect fault trending to the south-west from the main Deloro-CLP (Carleton Lake Pluton) splay which runs its course south-west through the MKR property in proximity to the Wire Gold occurence. This offset horizon appears to be directly related to an untested region which exists about 500 meters to the south between the Shenkman and 1010 zones.
This property will really show its colors this fall when deep drilling starts
The next post will deal with the specifics of what came out of the press release and how it relates to property potential.
The short term share price is really irrelevant on a project of this type and at this point in time as this is an early stage explloration play which is being readied for deep drilling in an area which has very high potential.......
More to come.
