All:
D-C here - it's been awhile since I last posted but I've been an active, regular reader of this forum.
Like many of you, I am quite concerned with all the 'NOT bashing' and second guessing on this board but the last straw was Jim Hodson from Sprott Asset Management and his coments on BNN yesterday.
So, this afternoon I decided to call the NOT office to see if I could speak to Richard. I normally wouldn't do this because I realize he and the others are very busy, However, in light of the above I had no choice. Luckily he took my call.
Needless to say, RN is p-o at Sprott to say the least. Sprott has sold all of their shares in NOT - that's anywhere between 9 - 12% of the outstanding shares. It's a free country and they can do what they want but the part that realy bugs RN are Hodson's comments about the deposit being 'too small' and ' the need for a railroad.' On both counts RN refuted this by stating 3 million tons of ore (1.8 million tons indicated resource & approx. 1.1 million tons inferred and open to the south along strike length and down dip) is not too small and for Hodson to make such a statement is way too premature. As for Hodson's 'railroad' comment and I quote, RN stated emphatically "Who the hell said anything about a railroad?" Lastly RN would not be surprised if Sproott sold their position only to buy in at a later date. Enough said about Sprott.
Also, NOT must file their initial resource report within 45 days to get out the NI 43-101 - consider this done.
I then asked RN about JP Morgan and how it was going with them. He mentioned that they (JPM) were instrumental in his recent trip to N.Y. Moreover, staring July 23rd. RN and JPM will be heading out to the U.S. west coast to drum up further interest and support for NOT.
I asked RN about the number of drills on their McFaulds Lake property and here's what he said:
- 2 drills are currently working on the Double Eagle II anomaly;
- 1 drill is still on the Eagle I anomaly so as to be in a position convert the 1.1. million tonnes of inferred resource to an indicated resource;
- 1 drill is on their property that NOT has JV'ed with tothe north (I assume that's with WSR?)
- 1 more drill is also on the property but wouldn't say where (based on Genuity's Report today I think that would be AT 6?) .
That's was it.
Folks, I've had the pleasure of meeting Richard at last years GM in Toronto. He's a decent, genuine human being and strikes me as being very much down to earth. This Sprott thing has really got him bugged. If there was ever any doubt in anyone's mind that RN was not motivated to prove this property has the goods, he sure is now.
So with FIVE drills spinning away, NOT will turn this property into Swiss cheese before their done with it. I fully expect a flood of NR's coming soon from MF's, not to mention Windfall. So now is no time to sell your position or worse, try to short this baby. Now is the the time to be loading up because you will not see these prives ever again!
Good luck to all,
D-C.
