I recieve this publication as well. There are more than the author who fears a nasty 30's style depression. I normally try to dismiss this kind of thing as alarmist, but there are some very unsettling things going on out there. I think our Cdn banking system is quite safe, but if the US system has major problems, it will sink our economy in a hurry I think. The idea of hoarding food is a very scary spectre indeed.

So what does everyone think, is this alarmist?
