The worlds stock markets appear to have settled down as Asia was basically flat and Europe is showing some good gains today. The finanacial stocks continue to keep the worlds indices in turmoil. Still no clear bottom from this group. Luckily the resource group of stocks is what is in play and this bodes well for Canada. Now that we have terrible Tuesday behind us perhaps (hope) the rest of the week will be a little calmer. On the economic calendar we get some employment, factory orders and crude inventory numbers today. No real market movers but the crude inventories could propel the price of oil one way or the other.

Back in McFaulds Lake we had a wild ride yesterday. Volatilty looks to be on the agenda until we get some firm news from the drill front with NOT. Rumours flying everywhere concerning DE3 make for some huge price spreads in the daily stock prices. It was hard on the stomachs of the long term investors but these are the kinds of whipsaws the traders dream of. The $1.17 difference between low and high yesterday on NOT sure afforded some awesome trading opportunties. I know I got caught on the wrong side of NOT yesterday and got slapped for a quickie. Win some lose some. LOL

What is up for today with the McFaulds Lake stocks is a mugs game to predict. NOT needs some real news to shake all these rumours or expect a wild ride is my best guess. On the area play front, I'm going to add FWR into the group of stocks I watch. It will be my Fab 4 instead of Big 3, FNC, FWR, NOT and PRB will be the McFaulds Lake stocks I will play for the next while. BMK appears to be dead money here, it no longer moves with the rest of the herd. Thats the thing with these area plays, a stock is in play until it drills. If the assays disappoint, it will longer run with the herd, until it can prove its worth with the drill again.

If we get visuals from NOT today on DE3 and they sound promising, expect new 52 week highs from NOT and FNC. If the visuals are soso, expect a severe spanking to the share prices of both. Volatility is extreme here on these two stocks, beware.
