You make an argument but lets face it leaks happen and the isolated nature of the DE 1 camp makes it harder but not impossible.
You state: 'consequences to everybody on site and in the company would outweigh any gains for them as individuals"
I don't can see how some driller telling his brother in law to buy has any consequence except to make some fast money and securities commission would never find these little guys. Yeah the Geologists and management are different but then nobody suggesting they would dirty their hands.
Your second argument confuses me: "Also, if a leak was to occur and high profile investors like McEwen and Lassonde found this out do you think they would stand ideally by!!! Would they risk regulatory and shareholder scrutiny to act on a "leak". "
What exactly is your argument? That if high profile investors found out they would ask for a halt? If it's a rumour then Noront Managment wouldn't or shouldn't confirm or deny it to any shareholder and with no confirmation what could they do. Do you really thing drill roughnecks hang around socially with these big guys?
There wasn't enough volume of trading or price change to indicate any kind of Leak. Maybe they just haven't found anything exciting enough to leak.
