You are pretty much describing the X in yellow on what has been provided below:
hole 22 at -62 dip was a stepout hole and it appears to me to have caught the edge of the cylinder that is trending S-E
granodiorite was hit after going through mineralization in a lot of these
I suggest that people plot these co-ordiates provided in Noront press releases on the map at bottom and they will see that they match up with the x in yellow:
