It's kind of scary just trying to figure out the whole huge area undergoing exploration. The aerial surveys are going to help define targets but feel sorry for the poor geologist. Different target signals for different metals.
Just outside the 'ring of fire' are Kimberlites so you can't even rule out someone stumbling across a diamond mine.
Hitting economic quantities is of course the key element but it's really hard not to believe they aren't in this area. Might be more than one mining camp turned up, one for nickel and another for gold etc.
