I agree about the "free share thing". I look at it this way... I invested "x" amount of dollars about a year ago. Over the last few months I pulled pretty much all of my initial investment out. I now hold a goodly number of shares in about 4 companies. When I sell off a number of those shares that are "free shares" the proceeds minus applicable taxes will be "free money". The shares that I retain for reinvestment are also "free".
