Shorters also add liquidity to the market. Remember when an investor shorts a stock all he does is change up the ownership cycle. He merely sells a stock he doesn't own, remember to complete the cycle that person needs to buy shares of the stock to cover what he sold. I never fear shorters either.

Personally have no idea why a person would want to short a stock like NOT. You would have to be a few cents short of a dollar, to short a stock that could come out with news at any minute and crush you like a grape under the foot of an elephant.

What should be banned is naked short sales. Those that practice this form of shorting should be thrown behind bars and have the keys thrown away. This is a blantant manipulation of the system that needs to be stopped at all costs.

It takes all kinds of trading to make a market. Just because you or I practice one way of trading doesn't make it wrong for others to trade their way. As in most things in life we have nothing to fear but fear intself.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure in playing the market than to see someone who shorts NOT, get their head handed to them on a platter.
