RING of fire

Good morning : Just wondering. Have been looking at the expanding area of staked claims in the McFaulds Lake area. I can appreciate why there is a rush to stake new claims now that an extaordinary resource has been discovered in the region. I guess my basic question is what brought these players to the area to begin with? Is this done by random EM surveys by companies by plane or has the government done basic geophysics of the vast expanse we know as Canada and if so by what means? The second part of the question is this. Mr. Nemis, I believe, coined the phrase "Ring of fire" which initially gives me a visualization of a complete circle. I have, as has everone else, noted that the claim blocks that have been staked do not complete at least a quarter of the arc of the ring. Can anyone explain why this quadrant is lacking in the staking process? If this basin was created by either volcanic action or impact, would one not expect the same possibility of similar finds around the WHOLE perimeter? These may sound like silly questions to many but is an interesting observation to one who has little knowledge in the mining field. Thanks in advance for any imput and GLTA the deputy
