Thanks again Latch: Thought I read somewhere about them using these drills also for oil field exploration, especially underwater, so I assumed there must be a core of some sort. Same for the gas pipe that somehow was fed along to the building I talked of. Is the material, in this instance, form the drill head just pulverized and extruded out the back end like a wood auger, if so how do they feed the pipe through after the hole is made? Should have stayed and asked more questions I guess. Whats your take. the deputy
