It's pretty obvious that this part of Ontario is way off the beaten path. However the Ontario Government is committed to improving winter road access. Fair bit of money and studies are ongoing and all this will help development should sufficient mineralization be found to support a mine or mines.

Not as inhospitable as some successful mines in the far north but had it been better situated you can be sure someone would have found the ore deposits before now.
