I don't know about any trap, I think it's been clear all along that the results could be almost anytime in August, so any trader should be forwarned. I can see taking a shot that the results won't come until after August option expiry, but, again, that's a big risk.

To me, it's like when we were kids (at least my group of friends), you're 8 on your eighth birthday, a couple of days later, you were "8 1/2," and not too long after that, you were "almost 9."

So to me, "middle of August" means August 2 to August 30!
