Message: MannKind announces $160M debt financing

The previous financing with Seaside was explicit about not shorting the stock. I haven't read the agreement yet but it appears this round of financing not only doesn't limit Deerfield from shorting but pays them a premium to possibly make money on a downturn in MNKD share price. I would expect them to short and my only hope would be they make no money on that hedge.

I know I sound like a broken record but I suspect this is another Matthew Pfeffer financing. Developmental biotechs are limited in how they can finance but Pfeffer seems to know all of the dark side players in the biotech market. I am just glad management didn't announce this financing when the stock price was $2.50/ share or we would have had a lot more dilution.
