I ain't sayin it won't happen, but I would be stunned (and delighted) if the partner ended up being PFE. Decisions like this must be championed by executives in very powerful positions. Can you imagine the cajones it would take to sponsor inhaled insulin after the record setting failure of Exhubera? Talk about betting your career.

This speculation makes me wonder if it was PFE a few years back who left Al at the alter. I recall that when the MNKD partnership that had been hammered out between the principals from both companies was proposed to the management committee, it was shot down by marketing types that refused to sign on for the revenue projections that supported the partnership valuation. Easy to imagine that happening if the partner was PFE.
