Carry on, armchair CEO's!!
Why would one need a public offering to place stock with one party? Besides, if that were the plan, why not just do a partnership? The thought that the stock would rise and the "partner" could then get out at a profit if things don't go to their liking is interesting - wouldn't be any securities issues with that transaction! And, no way the market might not sense things aren't going so well and push the stock below the offering price, right?
I don't expect the meeting to cast more than a little more light on all these topics, they rarely do and tomorrow likely won't be an exception.
