I did read it but it was good to read it again.This part reminded me of Al's recent sale of Stellar Micro Electronics.

If Mannkind stumbles again Mann may have to make the difficult decision to liquidate parts of this portfolio, something he wasn't willing to do to keep either his philanthropy or airplane company going.

"You can't keep funding companies indefinitely," acknowledges Carla Mann Woods, his daughter and a deputy at Advanced Bionics for 12 years. But she thinks that Mannkind is far from finished. "My father has very thick skin. He's in it for the long game and to do something great."
