gnorth, good posts, and good call on the extension. I am also not selling my shares, but i have to admit that i am tempted to sell a chunk at, say 65 or so, and use that money to buy back in at 60..or some such scenario. playing the ups and downs. But i fear that news can come at any time, and after waiting so long, and putting so many eggs into this basket, that news would come during the time i have sold out (waiting to buy back in).

Regarding the PR dept, is this just incompetence at PR? or does it reflect something else?

Is their pr dept influenced by the fact that less than 20 percent of maa shares are held by the public (ie 82 % or so is held by maa insiders and institutions)?

I am also long maa, in a big way, but the behaviour of executives does shake my confidence. A concern i have is that i have invested so much with them, but for all i know the story has completely changed. Remember the spring-the story was that they were on the verge of a deal with a consortium, and how those banks had a mandate to invest in developing countries and so it was cant lose....at the bmo conference they talked about the next investor being the "last money in". Then, suddenly, that isnt the story at all. Are we in for a repeat?
