The ranking system is done to reflect the level of trust to the certain individual. From the other hand, it is important to prohibit multiple accounts from one person, to protect community from manipulation when the same person is talking to himself under different nickname.

That is why I am always positive to personal meetings afterhours in pub etc. It build a "circle of trust" :) in the community. And this is should be one of the tasks for hub leaders.

Another note, I believe, it is important to let people edit their own posts (during a day). I hate misspelling especially if it misleads the post content for a reader.
