I don't mean to dismiss TA out of hand as it certainly provides valuable information.  My intent is to express the opinion that it is not wise to make moves based on "if line A crosses line B at an extreme downward angle with line C intersecting both forming a hypotenuse, etc...... then this is a buy signal".  As I'm sure you would agree, the latter detached from an understanding of the larger picture is closer to Astrology than smart investing.... hope no one here is using Astrology.  :)
