Wow jsq! What a brilliant post. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It helped greatly to understand what is happening here. You give reasonable explanations to answer some WHYs that I did not see the answer to - Why the halt for financing news? Why the price increase?

It is hard to believe that the big four's investment was a total surprise to Bay Street. If it had been a surprise, I think that the share price may have increased when the halt ended.
