Okiedo, I can't say I havent had my fair share of nervous thoughts related to the Thacker Pass approval. My lowest point was that implied TP reference by a lady at I believe Ford or GM saying she wouldnt support a project that pushes indigenous people off their land. Because of that comment, I pulled out almost half my stocks. After that, the stock more than doubled... I learned my lesson.

Going back to your 2 specific examples, I do think there are some important differences. In the case of the oil project I think the nature of the project being a fossil fuel project could definitely be a factor, and in the case of the copper project it does hit closer to home because copper is a more critical component to EVs, but the article does mention that Obama was against the mine, so I suspect there may be other political or ideological reasons for the project delaying.

For me the biggest boost to my confidence, and what allowed me to move funds back all into LAC were these 3 things:

1) The white House specifically using TP as an example of the good they are doing for domestic EVs

2) The extent that we know LAC has gone to and is willing to go to to be as environmentally sensitive as possible

3) The sheer grade of the deposit. If you are going to disturb the environment, you want to get the most lithium per sqft of ground

4) The remoteness of the site. There arent many other places in the US that void of civilization

5) Juge Du has stated multiple times now that while she is sympathetic to the indigenous groups sentiments, she does not see sufficient evidence of a massacre site

6) The worst case for me is a project delay, I really have a hard time believing the project will be dead in the water, so it's not likely tue SP would completely collapse overnight, and now that we have Millenium and potentially part of Arena down the road, we arent out of options.
