Solid State Batteries Have Moved One Step Closer To Reality

A critical view of current progress regarding SSB, Solid State Batteries.

Not ready for Prime Time, yet.  Work is still progressing on advancing this technology to the point of commercialization, but we are not there yet.

Recent events, the Presidential election in the U.S. included, have deflated the growth of sales for BEVs somewhat and can be discouraging to those of us invested in mining companies committed to producing lithium to make those batteries that power the BEVs.

I don't believe this ends the demand for BEVs.  Of course there will be those who purchase a BEV in order to promote their own individual style of "resistance" to the administration, but more important and in greater numbers will be the new BEV purchasers who have come to the opinion that a BEV is a solution to their new transportation needs, either in part as a 2nd or 3d vehicle or wholly, will continue to increase.  As the battery situation slowly but continuously improves with both minor adjustments and major developments over time then the resistance to purchasing a BEV will continue to dissolve for a significant portion of the new automobile buying public.  BEVs are not just a one time fluke on the market horizon for the automobile industry.  They are a iconic change for this industry that sets it on its haunces from what has been frozen in time for over a century in the mold of the ICE powered private transportation.  The BEV has shaken that once predominant image to its core and the rucus it has generated is far from fading away into the night and into insignificance.  

The BEV Genie has been let out of the bottle and been made available to the consumer and the current political change will not stuff that Genie again back into the bottle of insignificance.
