I have a theory regarding China and its machinations which had the effect of killing the price of Lithium and the price of Autos  employing lithium batteries.

The Chinese maintain a command economy and decided to dominate the global market by selling the cars at prices that cannot be matched by European and North American auto manufacturers. We have seen that this has resulted in huge increases in punishing duties to fight the Chinese price drops.

Regarding Lithium the Chinese manufacturers were vertically sourcing their Lithium from low quality

Lepidolite which has the effect of producing massive waste which now has to be remidiated and we have seen the effect on CATL and their actions closing down their Lipidolite mine. We should see the price of Lithium increase as a result.  GLTA
