Message: Weather change

I had lunch  yesterday with an old friend from the neighborhood of over 60 years ago. He's 6 years younger. I still think of him as a little kid. He's been living in Shanghai for 13 years working for Davis, Wright Tremaine lawfirm. He was named in a list of the top 100 lawyers in Washington  State. Covid drove him out of China. He still has an apartment there with stuff in it as does another friend from Australia who taught kae there. Well my old friend now teaches at the UW Law school and he said he has " a bee in his bonnet about climate change." He's trying to get these young students to understand that a monumental change is coming in this regard. One third of his students are Asian. He spoke of the huge complexities in converting to renewable energy. I think he teaches business law of some sort but his focus i

s on how the private sector is going to be a huge force in this. He said many corporations have a department called "Carbon Accounting." I told him about Lac as an example of the "complexities. " So my point is there is hope!!.
