Well, not much to say about that :-). I have noticed, that there isn’t any EV to compare with. So maybe the author think, that EV is “carbon free”. Considering, that most of power stations in China are running on coal, it is hard to believe that. And the source of electricity is the core of the problem of our EV revolution. It does not really matter, if you run ICE or EV, both are effectively consuming energy, which was stored in fossils. Lot of greenwashers keep complain, that the combustion engine (ICE) has very low efficiency (20-40%, depending on age). However they keep forgetting, that EV also runs on fossil fuel, just the thermal energy is released in nearby power station. Considering, that power stations runs with approximately 30% efficiency, then the efficiently of EVs is not really any better than efficiency of an ICE car (and please, spare me of any remarks about solar panels charging Tesla cars).

Saying that, I do agree, that individual transportation and flying are waste. Just for the record, I do most of my traveling by public transport and by train (600km/week), which is indeed a pain but I don’t have to deal with crazy drivers on the highway.

Finally, I am not really convinced, that all the madness around CO2 and “global warming” has any reasonable base. Firstly CO2 is very important gas for trees. Nowadays, we got concentration around  400ppm. Should the concentration “drop” to about half, the photosynthesis process would have stopped. On the other hand, should the concentration “double”, then we may see significant improvement of the agriculture output. Anyway, I am being told by alarmists, that should the temperature increase by 2C, then the Armageddon will occur. There is no doubt, we are going to reach “that goal”, my guess is that nothing will really happen.

These people reminds me a lot followers of my most favourite sociopath and pathological liar, they also keep changing the “strategy” every few months, depending how bad results are delivered by the previous one. So I expect that as soon as we reach the temperature goal, somebody will come up with even more catastrophic projection for next 100 years.

Just my 2 cents, of course.
