You are welcome, HC. We are fortunate to have an abundance of great contributors here, yourself included.
"Tiehm’s buckwheat is rare because it grows on a very specific soil type and its entire population covers only 10 acres, all of which sit in the footprint of a proposed lithium-boron mine at Rhyolite Ridge. "

Just about as limited a range as you will find anywhere for any flora or fauna. 10 acres!!!
ioneer is the mining company at focus on this issue by the environmentalit activists. Their Ryolite Ridge Project is in Esmeralda County, Nevada... a long, long ways from Humboldt County where LAC has its Thacker Pass Project:

ioneer went proactive in their response to the challenge to their existence from the radical "environmental activist" movement. ioneer basically went on a substantial counter attack and their website covers some of the detailed response they put forth. The response of ioneer will serve as a learning tool and a template for other mining companies in the future as all of them, LAC being only one, will have their own aggressive encroachments from radical "environmental activists" as they seek to shut down any and all mining efforts here in the U.S. for now and for the future.
