Neil, as per your usual contribution, this video is another prime resouce of information.  Particular in this video is the issue of how NEPA appeals have become mostly obfuscatory in their content and it also touches on how NEPA awards attorneys appealing mine construction are to be paid their attorney fees should their appeal win.  That isn't dwelled on in the video, but nonetheless it is an important point that came out more than once.

The members of this discussion in the video include Congressmen Mark Amodei of Nevada and Dan Newhouse of Washington.  Additional contributions were from Dave Mendiola (Humboldt County, Nevada, Manager), Jon Evans (CEO of Lithium Americas) and Debbie Strusaker (Co-Founder of the Women's Mining Coalition).

The greater elequence by far came from Debbie Strusaker, but the input from the other contributors was not insignificant in any measure.  Strusaker cut to the essence with clarity and brevity that made her contribution especially valuable.

Some of her statements:  "NGO's are experts at weaponizing NEPA",  "They do it because they can, if they prevail they get their attorney's fees."  Just a small sample of the pearls she espoused in her portions of the video.  Worth the price of admission and more!

I know you recommended to sart at 42:00 in the video, but I would actually recommend that everyone who has been a long time LAC investor invest a hour and 3 minutes to view the whole video content.  It isn't a perfect video since there are audio bobbles and visual bobbles on some of Mr. Mendiola's portion and Jon Evans at times comes across as somewhat mechanical, but I believe that the listener should focus on the words of those two particularly vs any manerisms or technical glitches that might be distracting.

As for someone who has the ability to establish a rapport with the audience in order to break down any bias barriers to the message being delivered, Debbie Strusaker was a cut above all the rest.

My ideal twosome to explain and defend LAC's Thacker Pass development and, at the same time, to engender interest in trimming the excess beurocratic "Red Tape" from a NEPA process (that lends itself to easy delay tactics toward any type of new mining effort here in the U.S.) would consist of 2 of the most knowledgeable and, at the same time, most capable communicators on the subject:

Debbie Strusaker and Dr. Glenn Miller (retired Professor of Environmental Science at the University of Nevada, Reno).  Put those 2 on the same dais at any time or on the same teleconference and you have a winning team that can not be beat.  Better yet, let those two debate the likes of Max Wilbert and Will Falk.  They would wipe the floor with both Wilbert and Falk.

Quick reminder about Glenn Miller.  On 22 Feb 2022 in the Reno Gazette Journal he opined:

"Of course, even for lithium we should not accept a mine that has a very negative footprint and will cause unacceptable damage. For the Thacker Pass mine, for example, the impacts will be substantially less than effectively all gold mines of its size. In fact, as a critic of the mining industry for 40 years, this mine is the most benign mine I have examined."

Opinion: Thacker Pass lithium mine important for Nevada, US and the world | Miller (rgj.com)

Just the thought of seeing Miller and Strusaker together on the same stage makes me enthusiastic again about LAC and Thacker Pass, something that has been much harder to achieve these last few weeks as I, like you, have seen the share price tumble while we all wait on Judge Du to render her decision.

At the very least, be sure you peruse the video link provided by Neil and listen to everything Debbie Strusaker said on that video, if you listen to nothing else.

Thanks, again, Neil, for posting.
