I need to ammend my previous note that quoted from 3.16 of the EIS. I researched the Final Environmental Impact Statement on Thacker Pass again today and there is no section 3.16
That is a little disturbing since in a previous search for EIS information related to Thacker Pass I definitely came across the passages from section 3.16 that I quoted in an earlier post.
A conundrum, no doubt. OK, the only explanation I can come up with is that my first look for the content of the EIS must have turned up the Preliminary EIS document, however I can't seem to locate that document in doing a search today.
If anyone has access to the full content of the Thacker Pass Preliminary EIS document I would appreciate it if you would see if there is a section 3.16 and, if so, see if it matches the quotes that I gave in my earlier post.
It is rather maddening to pull up that information linked to the "EIS" on one day and not be able to go back on another day and pull up the same information.
The issue is in relationship to the molten sulfur utilization proposed on an annual basis and as to the maximum amount of molten sulfur that would be on hand in local storage at Thacker Pass at any one time. I know I saw a chart enumerating those values in a document that I believe was titiled the EIS for Thacker Pass. I am at a loss to explain how that now has "disappeared".
I know we have some great researchers in this Hub. Your previous posts have proved how diligent you are in ferreting out definitive information.
I respectfully ask your help in solving what is, to me at least, a mystery. Thanks!
