stanbork: "Jon Evans was quoted today regarding the Biden announced plan to encourage domestic lithium mining by mentioning Thacker Pass and a possible second mine in the US.
Anyone have any idea?"
Stanbork, Links below address LAC possible expansion at other Nevada locations among other subjects:

https://www.courthousenews.com/lithium-rush-in-nevada-could-usher-new-era-of-mining-in-the-west/
In that second link you will find deep in the article the following quote:
"Ioneer’s project on Rhyolite Ridge is one of more than 40 major lithium mining projects in the approval pipeline in Nevada alone, with more than 15,000 outstanding lithium placer claims filed with the Nevada Division of Minerals."

Clayton Valley, in Esmeralda County, Nevada is a hotspot for a bunch of wannabee Juniors and also the home of the only operating lithium min in the U.S, the Silver Peak mine. See the map in the link below:
https://ameriwestlithium.com/projects/clayton-valley/
Notice how one section of the map refers to "Others" Junior lithium mines in Nevada love to trumpet how close they are to Albermarle's Silver Peak Mine. The inference is, of course, if it could happen for Albermarle at Silver Peak then it should happen for it's nearby neighbors as well. Anyway, all of the slick print and electronic adds for these wannabees, if laid out end to end, would probably reach to Mars and back a couple of hundred times.
Blue Clay Lithium Project in... guess!!!... Clayton Valley, Nevada:
Need another example? How about:
Acme joins the thundering heard with a video about its drilling... where?
Clayton Valley, Nevada... of course!
And the beat goes on and on and on and.... you guessed it!.... ON!
So, what separates the wheat from the chaff and the steak from the potatoes?
LAC's proposed lithium mine is farther along in jumping through all of the multitude of hoops that any new lithium mine proposal has to go through in order to become a reality. We are down to the final seconds of the game, LAC vs the "Resistance". It is the last minute of the 4th quarter and we are waiting to see how the Instant Replay Official rules on the Evans to Zawadzki 50 yard pass play from mid field to the End Zone. Was LAC's left tacke off sides on that key play or will LAC have the go ahead touchdown and do the victory dance in the End Zone with only 2 seconds left on the scoreboard clock? Inquiring investors want to know!!!!
Miranda Du is the Instant Reply Official in question. Big decison on her part and a lot riding on her decision after carefully reviewing the slow motion reply from at least a half a dozen different cameras. Will the LAC cheerleaders and marching band take the field in just a few seconds and celebrate the victory in a wild display of exhilaration OR will the outcome be a Version 2.0 of last year's Casey at the Bat?
Stay tuned, we will be right back for that exciting ending after this short commercial message from "The Original Chicken Ranch" at Orovada, Nevada, Edward Bartell, Proprietor Extraordinaire
Ed's motto: Don't be deceived by cheap imitations, expect the best, GO Bartell! or Go Home
Onward through the FOG!
