Message: Argentina developments that may affect LAC: What a mess!!!

I took a ton of history classes as an undergrad 100 years ago, or so it would seem, and in all of those courses the Blue Book exam questions always, and I do mean "Always", had one or more:  "Compare and Contrast" essay questions by the instructor.

Argentina politics, politics that potentially could have a huge effect on all of mining in Argentina including the LAC operations, continues to undergo rapid major changes that make it difficult to predict the certainty of the future of mining in that country.

One of those rapid changes appears to be in regards to who sits in the musical chair for the Economy Minister.

Compare and Contrast the two articles linked below and published only hours apart from one another:

https://www.batimes.com.ar/news/economy/argentina-economy-minister-says-she-has-strong-political-support.phtml

The emphasis on the one above is: "strong political support"

Contrast that with:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/argentinas-president-sacks-economy-chief-after-less-than-a-month-newspaper/ar-AA102Ho3

The emphasis on the second article:  "Argentina's President Sacks the Econom Chief After Less than a month"!

These two articles were separated by only 6 hours from another regarding the time they were published.

Just one of the "vicissitudes" required of any company doing business in Central and/or South America.  I maintain my belief that splitting LAC into two separate companies including one for North America makes perfect strategic and economic sense.  Can't wait to see it happen.  Just my opinion.

Argentina politics:  Go figure!  When you're hot your hot and when your not your not, plain and simple.  Bring on the dancing girls and the clowns.
