Following up on new lithium battery developments.  There is a new video about GM's Ultium battery and how GM claims they are going to be "Number One" in US domestic EV sales in the future.  Quite a claim and a challenge to Tesla, but can they deliver.  They have a different chemistry in their Ultium battery than does Tesla, but it is still a lithium battery.

No doubt that GM has a lot of interest in its move to take over the EV market here in the U.S.  The GM vs Tesla race, just like the Ford vs Tesla race, has the same overall effect on the demand for more lithium and the pressure on the U.S. to provide domestic sources of lithium and a secure lithium supply chain... all good news for LAC and, hopefully, for the LAC Thacker Pass proposed lithium clay mine after it is constructed, assuming it IS constructed and production becomes a reality.
