My understanding is that the greatest source of carbon will be from neutralizing the acid. My recollection is that the PFS for Thacker Pass indicated that a lot of quicklime and calcium carbonate would be used. While not an obvious source of carbon dioxide like from fossil fuels, limestone used to make these products is a natural way carbon dioxide gets sequestered.
