I am hoping the recent heatwave in the PNW brings more attention to the urgency of developing Thacker Pass. I was born in Victoria and grew up in the interior of the province. The Canadian national daily high temperature record has been smashed for 3 straight days. Now there are fires creating their own thunderstorms with lots of lightning but no rain.
