Adam, that reference I believe is about Edward Bartell's suit filed back in February and also the February, 2021, filing of Attorneys from Western Mining Action Project and Western Watersheds Project representing: Western Watersheds Project, Great Basin Resource Watch, Basin and Range Watch, and Wildlands Defense.
Even so, Western Watersheds Project and the Center for Biological Diversity just by themselves have a virtual army of "environmental activist attorneys" ready to sally forth in litigation at the drop of a tail feather of the Great Western Sage Grouse. So, the bottom line is: expect further litigation probably this year.
It is important for Nevada Lithium/Lithium Americas to have their own expert attorneys to represent them wherever and whenever the Thacker Pass Project needs to be defended in court, however the public outreach efforts of Nevada Lithium and LAC particularly to the residents of Humboldt County who have genuine concerns over the water, land, flora and fauna of Humboldt County related to any mining in their back yard would seem to be the most economical in terms of time, energy and expense for LAC and Nevada Lithium.
Just my opinion, but they may just be able to get a lot more bang for the buck in promoting a genuine public relations information and amelioration campaign than in spending all that time and money defending Thacker Pass in court. I don't believe we have seen the last of these "environmental activist attorneys". They smell blood in the water after their Sage Grouse wins in court with U.S. District Judge Lynn Winmil back in February of this year ( Federal judge overturns Trump administration’s gutting of greater sage grouse protections | WildEarth Guardians)
Opinions can be changed with information, listening skills, respect and lots of elbow grease.
