Message: Another Electric Pickup Truck Is Coming.... Barron's article report

"The all-electric trucking space is getting crowded. More market entrants are vying for a piece of this lucrative segment of the U.S. vehicle market.

Thursday, privately held Lordstown Motors entered the fray, unveiling its all-electric pickup truck, called Endurance, at its Lordstown, Ohio, headquarters.

Lordstown Motors was established by former Workhorse (ticker: WKHS) CEO Steve Burns who purchased the General Motors (GM) Lordstown plant back in 2019. He redubbed the facility Voltage Valley. It’s a good name.

The Endurance appears to be starting life as a commercial vehicle. Lordstown Motors has signed up Servpro, a fire-and-water-damage restoration company, as an initial customer. Servpro has committed to 1,200 trucks."

So, Mr. Burns decided to go it on his own amd breal away from Workhorse and set up his own company.   If you take the 1,100 orders Workhouse had and add the 1,200 orders that  Lordstown Motors has then you see 2,300 orders for Electric Trucks.

Just one more small story about how slowly the world is changing from ICE vehicles over to BEVs.  Of course, that transition just adds to the demand increasing for privately owned BEVs such as all of those Tesla owners.  More BEV cars and more BEV trucks = more demand for LCE... good news for LAC.
