Message: House Positions over last month

Rastaman,

I simply use the House Positions to see who is buying or offloading. Salman could be taken as an example. Within a day or so of Salman likely getting notified they would not be used as ‘the company’ to work with LBE in helping find a deal (financing or otherwise), they immediately offloaded 660,017 shares. Since then, they have neither bought nor sold anything else. I would take that to mean they are probably out of the stock altogether. I look at that as a positive, as in my opinion, I personally think they did us more harm than good over the last year.

Another example might be that of ISM. Awhile back, (October 29th), they announced they were going to start buying back shares. From the date of that announcement, Penson has come into the picture as the major buyer. Whether or not this is the company ISM are using; my guess is it might be, one can actually figure out what % of the shares the company might be buying back. Since ISM's announcement, Penson has bought a net of 377,000 shares. Roughly, and I am only guessing here, if Penson is the company acting on behalf of the ISM, they are supporting the stock by buying approximately 24% of the net shares traded since that announcement. That is a lot of support in my opinion.

It is just one more item I use in due diligence of all stocks that I would invest in.

Best
