Steel availability

I was talking to someone today who was saying that he was facing a long delay in getting steel to finish a building. Also, he said you cannot get a price today based on 5 days from now due to volatility.

Does anyone know if, on top of the inventory and price issues on Ni and other commodities, there are further supply chain issues such as the one he was describing?
