John great posts.
The down side for us was the fact the word was out we would need a financing. I suspect part of the downward pressure was companies trying to force down our price so if there was a pp they would get more shares. They and we got caught because Bearn Stearns, Lehman Brothers and everything else started happening that suddenly companies started to having to come up with some money and they were taking it from anyplace they could get it. It was happening all over the market place.
Now, if it was true Brokers were telling their clients to sell, or as the saying goes weaker hands sold people have taken big losses so they could be in cash. I would suspect they had to stay out for a month (mere supposition) but not everyone will come back in so our sp has suffered tremendous downward pressure. There is still tremendous risk out there. Each time the Ni price dropped lower and lower our sp dropped. I am still trying to figure out Ni demand in the coming year but I suspect so much is tied to the economy. I have added some articles to the off topic forum. If anyone has some better ones could they put a copy there. I have been trying to just put some significant articles in there related to just what is going on in the economy. No comments - just things to think about.
What was nice to see was with the market down 840 points on the TSX we still held our own and finally we were up a little. Maybe not a tremendous positive but with 827,000 shares we held our own.
