It's the timeout for them. The time to re-group and re-assess. They will likley go to cash on many fronts and then also bargain hunt what in the past was out of reach or not quite value priced.
Imagine the bottom fishing that can take place now. I would think there are longhard looks being taken on a lot of companies. Obviously no rush to buy if you are playing the overriding trends upon the markets.
Have you seen the scramble to tighten up and or better define shorting rules as of late. They are all over that in anticipation of the meltdown.
