Hi John,
I remember that, but I was speculating that perhaps it was a bit more than maintenance? After all, they could not say "we are closing it to see if we can manipulate the LME price."
Of course, it would take more than one company to manipulate supply and the price. Ask Enron management.... oh yeah, they are dead or in jail.
