Oct 9, 2003 - the acquisition

The Board of Directors has approved the non-arm’s length acquisition of the 32-unit, McAra

Lake Property located in Dufferin Twp. 35 Kms south of Shiningtree, Ontario. The property hosts

numerous different metals hosted by an Archean, interflow sedimentary band of rocks and

hydrothermal veins. Most important of all metals located on the property were two, parallel veins of

massive cobaltite (found by earlier operators) which yielded up to 13% cobalt across a core length of

0.5 metre. These veins have been traced for 220 metres and also contain up to 17 oz/ton silver, 1.5%

nickel and 0.04oz/ton gold. A recent three hole drill program has located the veins to a vertical depth

of 75 metres. Also located and stripped on the property is a copper occurrence which yielded up to

10.51% copper (by previous operators) in a grab sample. The property is controlled by all three

directors of Liberty which have cumulatively spent over $100,000 privately on exploration since the

acquisition in early August 2003. Terms of the acquisition are: 1) the issue of 1,000,000 common

shares of Liberty to the Directors, and 2) Liberty will be responsible for all payments to the original

vendors as noted below and reimbursement of all exploration costs incurred by the Directors in

exchange for the option to earn a 100% interest in the property subject only to a 3% net smelter return

royalty. The option with the original vendors includes $25,000 cash payments, every 6 months until

February 2006. A total of $125,000 in cash payments remain outstanding, and there are no prescribed

exploration expenditures. The acquisition is subject to delivery of a NI 43-101 qualifying technical

report and regulatory approval.
