I'm sure that in some of the very deep, low tonnage situations, extraction costs could well run that high. Of course no company would pursue such an endeavor hoping to turn a profit. The $14-16 number is far too high. If that were the case, there would be a lot of large mining companies out of business, or out of work. I believe that most sulfide concerns produce at or about 6.00 per pound. As you well know laterite producers are having problems with nickel prices below 10.00 per pound.
