Message: News. Wonder if this will help

Some history I found in the Timmins District Month Activity Summary for Oct 2000. I was googling the Halliday Assemblage to read up on it.

"Hucamp Mines Limited ("Hucamp") was listed on the Canadian Venture Exchange ("CDNX") under the symbol "YHU". Hucamp also announced the signing of a Letter of Intent with Falconbridge Limited regarding the Sothman Ni Property. The Sothman property consists of 51 contiguous leased mining claims totaling approximately 2000 acres. It is located in Sothman, Kemp and Mond Townships, approximately 70 kilometers south of Timmins.

Hucamp plans surface work comprising trenching and stripping on the Sothman Deposit in the vicinity of the old blast pits. Detailed sampling completed across the mineralization will be analyzed for PGE's, Ni, Cu, Co, and Au. The stripping and trenching program will be followed by a program of diamond drilling and down-hole geophysics that will test the down plunge extent of the Sothman Deposit to approximately 600 metres vertical depth. The various other targets on the property will be subjected to initial evaluation in the course of the above.

The Sothman Property is underlain by the Archean-aged Halliday assemblage comprising andesitic pillowed flows, a thick sequence of ultramafic olivine cumulate rocks and lesser gabbroic intrusive rocks. The main ultramafic body hosting the Ni-Cu sulphide mineralization is approximately 200 metres thick by 5 kilometers long. The property hosts the Sothman Ni Deposit which has been estimated by Falconbridge without dilution at 190,000 tons (~173,000 tonnes) grading 1.24% Ni (1.0% Ni cutoff grade).

Hucamp can earn a 51% interest in the property by spending a total of $2 million over 4 years including a first year commitment of $200,000. Hucamp can earn an additional 14% interest by spending a further $1 million by the end of year 5. Falconbridge then has the option to increase its interest to 50% by spending $2 million over the next 2 years"(Hucamp Mines Ltd., press release, October 2, 2000).
