Producing Mines and "state-of-the-art" Mill
I find the mineralization is very exciting in the Shaw Dome. McWatters is the stepping stone for us. Hart will be our company maker. Now Groves could be a very exciting property. Our claims cover a magnetic anomaly interpreted as a large gabbroic intrusion. The anomaly is approximately 12 km long and varies in width from 1 km to km. We spent $700,000 last year on VTEM surveys on our various properties. This has given our geologists much information to sift through. We have $6.9 million dollars we must spend on exploration this year (money raised from flow through shares). So throughout the year we are going to get some exploration news.
We have just read the Technical report for McWatters and are getting a clearer idea what is happening there. Well by mid June 2008 we will see a NI43-101 for Hart to at least 500m below surface. Goal is to bring the Hart Mine into production in the second half of 2009.
Very important was the signing of the IBA with the Mattagami, Mattachewan and Wahagoshig First Nations (MWW).
Properties outside of our borders are getting great news. Golden Challice has enjoyed a great couple of weeks. ISM has had news that their Ni43-101 is advancing. For us, discovery on any of our sites could boose our share price, McWatters going into preproduction could also boost our shareprice.
Last year was unique because Ni was at $32 which I doubt we will see again. In the mean time we have progressed. We have learned. Management should find it easier to advance the permitting for Hart, McWatters will bring in the revenue. Redstone gives us additional revenue. Redstone mine produced a revenue of $11,395,092 and cash mining and processing costs totalled 47,128,552 providing a cash operating margin of $4,266,540. Prior to declaring commercial production US$6,265,274 of revenue was offset against pre-production costs from sales on Ni in concentrate to Jilin Jien Nickel Industry Company Ltd.
We have gone through alot of money this year but it has not been wasted. This year I think will be very exciting for us. In fact I look forward to going to our AGM and seeing this year's presentation.
