If you knew where the bottom was and bought in then, definitely. You would be able to invest your money elsewhere for a few months until it was time to buy your asset which was about to appreciate.

But I certainly am not skilled enough to time it just right... so, since I am confident that we'll return to $2+ in 9-12 months, I'll pick and choose buying opportunities that I see are good value.

When I look back a year from now, I'll have hind-sight to judge whether I was being wise or foolish. Only time will tell.
